technically, absolutely. OLED displays require less 'stuff' behind them, as they don't require the lighting layer that a typical TFT LCD does. OLED = Organic Light-Emitting Diode, which is little bitty diodes which, when given a little jolt of electricity, light up. They also use less battery power, and produce more robust colors.
